The photograph was taken during the release of the autobiography, “Celia: My Life,” held on July 21, 2004, at the Books & Books store in Coral Gables, Florida.
And that for the very first time and in her own words, the legendary Cuban-born singer Celia Cruz, who rose to fame on the island of Cuba during the 1950s as a singer of guarachas, earning the nickname “La Guarachera de Cuba.”

Tells the author of the book, “Celia: My Life,” Ana Cristina Reymundo, the story of her life, her joys, her sorrows and the difficulties she faced during her childhood and youth, before she became the most popular Cuban singer in the history of Latin music.
