The photograph was taken during the release of the book “Celia: My Life,” held at the Books & Books store on July 21, 2004, in Coral Gables, Florida.
And that for the very first time and in her own words, the legendary Cuban singer Celia Cruz, who rose to fame in Cuba during the 1950s as a singer of guarachas, earning the nickname La Guarachera de Cuba, and then to stardom in New York City during the 1970s as a singer of salsa, earning the moniker The “Queen of Salsa.”
