MIAMI — To remember and honor the life and legacy of the legendary Cuban singer Celia Cruz, also known by the nickname “The Queen of Salsa” (“La Reina de la Salsa”), that passed away at 4:55 p.m., on July 16, 2003, from cancer at her home in Fort Lee, New Jersey, at the age of 77.

The Cuban artist Oscar Pelegrin is going to publish on the gallery page of this website 14 photographs that captured the moment when musicians and artists — including Willy Chirino, Pitbull, Willie Colón, Tito Nieves, and Lucrecia — posed with the artwork (“In Loving Memory of Celia Cruz”) to honor the legacy of Celia Cruz.
